My design process

My process begins with a discussion with the client or product team. We identify the goals of the project, audience are we trying to reach, and the KPI that determine the project's success.

Next, using data collected and objectives we have identified, a plan for the project is outlined. Content is mapped to a logical navigation structure, creating users flows which lead the user to their desired content. Wireframes are created to provide visual representation of the plan.

While content is compiled and gathered, a design system is drafted to demonstrate color palettes, typography, imagery, and themes. Typically, the client provides the content. They know their products and services best. Once the content is compiled, we return to the organization plan to identify modifications.

Simultaneously, the design process begins. Design comps are created based on the design system. These comps are presented to the client and may be tested with a sample user group.

After a series of iterations, pixel-perfect designs are created and presented to the client. Once approved, the development process begins. Designs are converted to responsive, mobile-first HTML, CSS and JavaScript templates.

The project is then deployed to a staging server for review and tested on various web browsers. Finally, the project is moved to the production server. Additional user testing or A/B testing may be called for.
